Authenticity

This mural in downtown Gainesville Florida is to represent the importance of drag queen performers to the community.  Drag is a symbol for authenticity and self expression while being its own art form.  In 2023, drag queens, along with the rest of the LGBTQ, have been under attack by conservative law makers in Florida.  This mural's purpose is to send a message to those law makers that they will not steal our joy.  Drag queens are a beacons of hope that bring happiness to everyone, not just the LGBTQ,
